The start took place last weekend in Upper Austria on Lake Traunsee during the Lakeventure Festival. Our crew gave the hobby kiters at the “Levitaz Cup”, the unique opportunity to compete with the world leader in Foil Racing. Perfect weather conditions allowed Daniela Moroz, Martin Dolenc and Florian Gruber to showcase the insane speed of hydrofoils and fly above the water with 60 km/h. But the local scene resisted and gave the professional athletes a terrific fight for the podium. In the meantime, the latest products from Levitaz and FLYSURFER could be tested over the entire weekend in the individual scenery of the Salzkammergut.

For me it was a great opportunity to finally go to an event and have a lot of fun with the crew. A special experience were my first foil-races, where I got addicted to the racing format and additional motivation to train hard. Who knows, maybe I’m going to compete this year?
